If one or more professionals submit(s) a quote on an employer's project within the last 24 hours, we send the employer a View Your Bids/Proposals email. This email lists all of the professionals who placed quotes on the project, and includes each professional's direct contact information and a link to view their full profile.
2. What is a 1099 form?
The 1099, a.k.a. the 1099-Miscellaneous Income Form or the 1099-Misc form, is the tax form sent to independent contractors who have earned more than $600 the previous year. It is the freelance equivalent of the W-2 form, which is sent to direct employees. To generate a 1099 form, independent contractors must complete and submit a W-9 tax form to the issuing agency.

5. How does CNC.com protect my confidential information?
If you are concerned about revealing confidential project information, it is probably best to leave it out of your project description. Describe your project needs in a detailed manner without listing the confidential information. Include a sentence indicating that for reasons of confidentiality, privileged information has been left out of the project description.
